In just 2 days’ time, Plaza Brasserie @ PARKROYAL on Beach Road will strike back with its Ultimate Crab Feast since its great reception in the previous instalment. Running every Sundays – Wednesdays from 9 April – 28 June 2017, the kitchen will be routinely battling Sri Lankan crabs in six different orthodox and unorthodox flavours: Chilli Crab, Salted Egg Crab, Cereal Crab, White Pepper Crab, Petai Crab and Ginger Hua Tiow Crab. You can catch a break from working your way through the stubborn crab shells with Curry Crab Meat Kueh Pie Tee, Crab Meat Fried Rice and Crab Meat Chawanmushi.
And if you (ever) get tired of crab, the buffet spread is lined with some other usual suspects, like Fresh Oysters, Prawn Mee Soup, and others with a little twist, including Stir-fried Green Mussels with Lemongrass, and Chicken with Kaffir Lime. Ondeh Ondeh Shortcake and Birds’ Nest Egg Tarts are just some of the desserts to end the seafood-brimming buffet – that is if you can still stomach more food thereafter.
While the variety of whole crabs may come as a little restricted, the unlimited nature of the meal makes up for that gripe. Crab enthusiasts will still end up finding the buffet a value-for-money one.
