Whether a festive cake that is classic or especial, you are backed by The Icing Room this Valentine’s Day.
Love is in the air, and it is noted by the cake boutique. ‘Our Love Story’ is hence, the theme this year; to remind couples of the journey, and the thick and thin (no matter how cliche) that they’ve been through, as one. In celebration of that, The Icing Room has made these dainty limited edition Valentine’s cakes available from 3 – 14 February 2014 at all The Icing Room outlets. It can also be ordered online through www.theicingroomdelivery.com.sg.
Classically and romantically created is the Red Cupid ($18.80). Unassuming it may look, the red velvet cake actually incorporates surprises. A bite in and you’ll find yourself sweetened by the raisins, blueberries and citrus amongst the mixed fruit cake, layered with rich cream cheese and white chocolate ganache. A cake aptly shaped to express your earnest love to your other half.
You can also say, ‘Be My Valentine‘ ($18.80), with the delicate vanilla sponge cake covered in Chantilly cream, encircled by a ring of sponge fingers. It is truly a love affair, with the cake crowned with silver chocolate balls, white chocolate hearts and a lady’s favorite, macaron.
Artist or artist-wannabe, it is not of utmost importance as the saying goes, ‘it’s the thought that counts’. That is when the D-I-Y Heart-shaped Cake ($15.80) comes into play. A platform, literally, for you to exude your creativity and profess your undying love for your partner. Like your partner, the cake will be the one and only (ooooh, cheesy), and you will be the one who colors his / her life (just like how you color and decorate the cake with 5 different colored cream piping cream and additional garnishes). The cake comes in black forest or chantillea flavor.
In conjunction with the spirit of love (because here at The Chosen Glutton and The Icing Room, we love you), the collaboration sees a gift of Red Cupid Cake for 3
hopeless romanticslucky readers. Read the poster above to find out how.
I promise, we don’t judge the mushiness. Only for this season.
Fun fact as per Wiki. Singaporeans are one of the biggest spenders on Valentine’s Day, with the majority spending between $100 – $500 for this special day. In any case, here’s wishing you romancing couples, an eternity together ahead, and for all single ladies and gentlemen out there, happy singles’ day!
