Valentine’s Day Dinner 2013.

Possibly the most important day of the year, Valentine’s Day is one that requires dedication and intricate planning. Sometimes they go up to a month in advance, and that is exactly why I am putting up this Valentine’s Day Dinner 2013 post. Some are already sticking their neck out, in search for the perfect location for this very special day. It’s the loveliest day, the heartiest day, a couple day.

I’ve specially went on a hunt for unique restaurants for this unique day. Classified under either ‘Waterfront’ (restaurants situated along / near a water body), ‘Lush’ (restaurants amongst the greens), and ‘Panoramic’ (restaurants with a potentially great view), this blog post should be generally easy to navigate.

COAST at 1-Twenty Six

Indulge in top quality and well-thought of Valentine’s Day menu by soaking in the sea breeze. Can you just imagine, looking over the Singapore Strait, a sunset possibly, and a stroll along the beach after the romantic dinner. Ohh.

Prive Grill

One of my favorite places for, chilling, for a meal, for, the ambience. If you’re been to Keppel Bay, you’d know what I am talking about. The rows of yachts, the waterfront board, the condominiums, the sea, oh how relaxed one can feel.

One Rochester

Not only will you be welcomed with the greens, you can expect to sink into furnishings that blend well with the surrounding. It’s a treat for the eyes already. Frequent weddings / solemnization that take place here is a good testimony to its romantic setting.

Need I say more. It’s the best of 3 worlds. You get to see the Lush (Gardens by the Bay), the waterfront (Marina Bay), and the Panoramic view from within the capsule of Singapore Flyer. Not forgetting the magnificent skyline of the city’s Central Business District area, complemented with the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Possibly the best view yet.

  1. Hi, Just wondering what your recommendation is for a nice place with foie gras and steak to dine on V day? Those are the 2 main items that my partner enjoys best, so i’m trying to find something that satisfies her request. Thanks!

    • Hey there JW. The restaurants that offer both of the abovementioned items are Salt Grill & Sky Bar, Au Jardin, One Rochester and COAST at 1-TwentySix.

      I’d suggest either One Rochester (if you’d rather be somewhere relatively more accessible, and prefer the greens) / 1-TwentySix (if you’d rather somewhere more secluded and by the sea & beach). They’re under the same group, the 1-Rochester Group. It’s both affordable (only $95++ per pax) and of good quality. I’ve had their Christmas Menu and it was more than worth the price. Granted it was a Food Tasting Session, all opinions are not prejudiced, and the food was undoubtedly acceptable. Furthermore, its location is perfect for V’Day Dinner.

      The other 2 restaurants are almost double the price. If you do not have a ceiling for the dinner, you can go for it. It probably gives you a more fine-dining feeling. So it depends on what you are looking for.

      Other options available:
      (1) Au Chocolat @ MBS (http://www.auchocolat.com/promotion)
      Though you have to give her your portion of the beef. Lol. I have dined at Au Chocolat. Ambience is definitely not the most ideal (it can get noisy), especially since it’s in MBS. But food’s pretty good.
      (2) Saint Pierre @ Clarke Quay (http://www.saintpierre.com.sg/events_valentines2013.html)
      I haven’t been there in person, but I’ve heard good things about this restaurant. The menu looks promising (although portions might then be smaller in comparison).
